골드리버는 사람들이 잘 모를 정도로 깊은 산골에 있다. 밴쿠버 아일랜드 깊숙이 숨어 있는 이곳은 천혜의 자연이 보석처럼 빛나는 곳이다. 바다와 호수 그리고 밀림같은 산들이 첩첩이 둘러쳐 있다.
계란처럼 둥굴게 하이웨이를 돌아서 한 나절을 가면 고요하고 웅장한 산밑에 자리잡은 작은 도시마을이 나타난다. 1967년부터 목재산업이 발달되면서 방앗간들이 문을 닫기도 하였다. 또한 관광도시로 개발하면서 주변에 있는 엘크레이크 트레일과 가장 높은 골든 힌두산 하이킹 전문 산책로가 생기기도 하였다.
심지어 1988년에는 세계시장으로 많은 목재를 운반하는 산업 부흥 때문에 심지어 주민들까지 이주시키는 대 변동이 있었던 곳이기도 하다. 하지만 현재는 산업 자체가 활발하지 않기 때문에 사람들의 왕래가 잦지 않은 마을이 되었다. 그러나 자연은 역시 변함없는 아름다움으로 그곳을 지키고 있다.

고 지는 곳이다.
도시 주변에는 아름답고 맑은 엘크호수와 스카우트 호수 등이 있으며 골드 리버 강줄기를 따라 하이웨이 28번을 따라 남쪽으로 내려가면 에어 누트카 해변 포구에 이른다. 이곳에서 수상 비행기를 타면 유명한 프렌들리 코브가 환상적인 해안선을 따라 그 자태를 드러내고 만다. 또한 산 폭포 등 수려한 자연이 개발되고 보존되어 있어서 여행객들이 끊어지지 않는 곳이기도 하다.
밴쿠버 아일랜드 나나이모에서 19번 하이웨이 북쪽으로 달리면 팍스빌을 거쳐 캠벨리버에 도착한다. 여기서 서쪽으로 28번 도로를 1시간 30분 정도 달리면 골드리버가 나온다.

The Gold River is in a deep mountain range that is not well known to the public. Hidden in the northwest of Vancouver Island, Gold River is a place where nature is shining like a jewel. The sea, the lake and the jungle are surrounded by layers. Turning around the highway, like an egg, an hour and a half, you will see a small urban village nestled under a calm and grand mountain. As the wood industry developed in 1967, the mills began to close their doors. In addition,
as the city developed into an industrial and tourist city, the nearby Elk Lake and the highest Golden Hinde had steep trails. people do not come. However, nature is also keeping it with its unchanging beauty. This place where bears often appear is where all kinds of flowers, fruits, ferns and pine mushrooms constantly bloom. There are beautiful and clear Lake Elk and Lake Scout, and down the highway 28 south along the Gold River to the Port of Air Nootka Beach. Renting a seaplane from here brings you to the famed Friendship Cove, which takes you on a spectacular coast. It is also a popular destination for tourists because of the development and preservation of beautiful nature.
From Nanaimo, ride north on Highway 19 to Campbell River. Go west again from Campbell River and take Route 28 for an hour and a half to reach the Gold River.
꽃병이 아니라 꽃신이다. 여름철에는 꽃을 나무 신발에 심어 놓는다. It is not flower vase but flower shoes. In summer, flowers are planted in wooden shoes.
