Sea To Sky World

골든이어즈 공원! 그곳은 험준한 산형과 빽빽한 나무숲으로 이루어진 거대한 산림 정글이다. 이곳을 처음 방문했을 때 12킬로미터에 달하는 수림지역을 드라이브하면 밀림의 산책경이 주는 신비로운 경이를 체험하게 된다.

끝이 없는 길을 따라 수직으로 올라간 더글라스 퍼(Douglas Fir) 미송들이 줄지어 숲을 채우고 커다란 소나무들이 좁은 길 외에는 하늘을 볼 수 없을 정도로 앞길을 덥고 있다. 70미터의 큰 키를 자랑하는 우람한 미국산 소나무들이 자주 등장한다.

비씨 주에는 더글라스 퍼와 웨스턴 헴락(Western Hemlock) 그리고 미국산 삼나무, 웨스턴 레드세다(Red Cedar)가 유명하다.

이 길을 한참을 달리면 바다같은 알루엣(Alouette) 호수가 드디어 골든이어즈 산맥 아래 고요하게 나타난다. 호수주변으로 수없는 트레일이 있고 보트와 카누 등 다양한 물놀이 스포츠가 가능한 이곳은 여름철에는 빈틈이 없이 사람들로 붐빈다.

아름다운 호수는 그 해변공원과 함께 3개의 캠프 그라운드가 있다. 소풍 지역은 그야말로 단체 혹은 가족이 와서 행복한 하루를 지낼 수 있도록 야외 탁자와 휴식터 그리고 카누센터가 준비되어 있다.

Golden Ears Park! It is a huge forest jungle formed of rugged mountains and dense forests. The first time I visited here, I drove a 12-kilometer forest area. I experienced the mysterious wonder of wandering in the jungle.

 

Douglas Fir, who climbed vertically along endless roads, were lined up to fill the forests. The pine trees were filling the place so tightly that I could not see the sky except the narrow road. American pine Douglas fur boasts a height of 70 meters and often appears before our way. Douglas Fur, Western Hemlock and American Cedar and Red Cedar are famous in BC.

After a long drive, you can see Alouette, a sea-like lake, finally breathing calmly beneath the Golden Eagles Mountains. There are many trails, around the lake, where you can play a variety of water sports such as boats and canoes.

 

It has three campgrounds with a picnic beach park. The picnic area is like a large playground. Indeed, outdoor tables, resting places and canoeing centers are available for families and groups to come and have a happy day.
