번천은 밴쿠버 안모르 지역 북쪽에 자리잡은 환상적인 호수다. 이곳은 저수지로 사용되기도 한다. 코퀴틀람지역과 맞닿은 이곳은 밴쿠버 다운타운에서 30-40분이면 도착할 수 있는 천연의 호수로서 수많은 사람들의 휴식처다. 그 신비로운 수면과 편안한 산맥이 호수주변을 둘러싸고 정글같은 다양한 산책코스가 사람들을 늘 기다리고 있다.
Buncheon is a fantastic lake nestled in the northern part of Vancouver. It is also used as a reservoir. Close to Coquitlam, this is a natural lake that can be reached in 30-40 minutes from downtown Vancouver. It is truly a recreational paradise for many people. The mysterious surface and comfortable mountain ranges surround the lake like a jungle and various walking courses are always waiting for people.

수백년이 넘은 거목들이 산소를 뿜어내고 카누를 타는 젊은이들의 탄성이 곳곳에서 울펴퍼진다.
소풍으로는 최고의 조건을 가진 이곳은 나무 식탁과 의자가 널려 있고 푸른 잔디가 카펫처럼 누어 있다. 눈을 돌리는 곳마다 절경의 산수가 그저 작품이다. 살아 움직이는 벽화다.
수심이 가장 깊은 곳이 65m이며 지표면은 123m이다. 1.82평방킬로미터나 되는 이 호수는 식수와 전기를 제공하고 있다. 주말이면 자리를 잡을 수 없을 정도로 지친 도시민들이 찾아오는 곳이다.
