웨스트밴쿠버 입구 가까이에 이르면 처음으로 해변 공원을 만난다. 웨스트 밴쿠버 끝까지 이어지는 시월드 산책로의 출발이기도 하다. 멀리 스탠리공원과 웨스트밴쿠버를 연결하는 라이온스게이트 다리가 타원형으로 휘어 공에 달려 있는 모습을 한 눈에 볼 수 있고 가끔식 크루즈 호화 여객선이 미끄러지듯이 바다수면을 지나간다. 저마다 애완용 개를 끌고 와서 운동을 시키는 사람들을 자주 볼 수 있다. 이곳은 개들이 자유롭게 놀 수 있는 개공원도 있다. 그 넓이가 3.53핵타르나 된다. 시원하게 트인 하늘 아래 태평양 바다가 고요하게 출렁인다. 매일 서쪽 동네로 지는 태양의 노을빛 영상은 마치 거대한 벽화를 그려내는 듯이 다양한 빛깔로 저물어간다.
